WP2: TV Metadata Interoperability |
Objectives - To explore and evaluate candidates for common metadata exchange formats for a) the professional content producer and provider side as well as b) for the user side. As a starting point for the professional side, BMF (Broadcast Metadata exchange Format) will be considered, while for the end-user side the focus will begin with TVA (TV-Anytime). Other emerging file formats fulfilling the requirements will also be taken into account if they promise to gain a relevant market role.
- To realise an intelligent converter (or an alignment algorithm) which is capable of extracting the relevant information from professional TV metadata. This information is then mapped to the metadata model selected for the TV-based home environment.
